The picturesque village of Hartington is a thriving “honey pot” for visitors and tourists throughout every month of the year. It has its own well dressing at the beginning of September and is home to the famous “Hartington Stilton”.
Ash Tree Cottage, is a wonderful Hartington holiday cottage, a place away from it all in gorgeous rural surroundings, Ash Tree Cottage was once the “Old Wash house” and “Pigsty” and has been converted into luxury two bed-roomed accommodations.
Everything is all on one level; we have aimed to make the cottage accessible to all, from families to the less mobile.
We have kept the cottage private from the busy farmyard; it has its own garden and patio area. There’s also parking for two cars. Also, free wifi.
Nettletor Farm
Nettletor Farm is a busy family run dairy and sheep farm. The family have been here for 4 generations.
We farm 200 acres, milk 70 Holstein Friesians and have 150 breeding ewes.
April especially is a busy month to visit with many guests returning year after year to be here for lambing time.
Hartington Holiday Cottage – Ash Tree Cottage Features
Ash Tree Cottage has been renovated from the original pigsty and wash house into 2 bedroomed luxury Hartington holiday cottage accommodation. On one level Ash Tree Cottage is easily accessible to everyone, it offers light spacious comfortable living.

You will enter into a large spacious living dining kitchen area.
The Kitchen is fitted to a high standard, with all appliances required for modern living. A dishwasher, hob, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster.
The Living Area is light and spacious with comfortable seating, flat screen TV with sky Freeview and DVD.
Off the main living room is a walk in wet room and toilet, with heated towel rails. This was once the original “earth closet” this is still in place but now not in use!!
Bedroom 1 is a twin room with fitted wardrobe and dressing table
Bedroom 2 is a double en-suite with fitted wardrobe,the dressing table is the original salting stones another original feature that we kept! The en-suite is another walk in wet room and toilet with heated towel rails
All rooms have underfloor heating throughout which can be thermostatically controlled
Outside there is ample parking for 2 cars. There is also a private garden and patio area with use of a BBQ. The cottage is completely private from the busy farmyard.
